Picture Day is Tuesday! Students may wear their choice of clothes.
Our fall Book Fair begins on Friday and runs through October 4th. The hours are between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. On Wednesday October 2nd, the fair will be open until 6:00 p.m.
The study guide for the Heat Unit will be coming home Monday. Please help your child prepare by reviewing vocabulary, explaining the difference between conductors and insulators, and describing sources of heat.

Math:
We are beginning Unit 2 this week with a focus on multiplication and division. Please support at home by practicing multiplication and division facts. You can pick up a pack of card from The Dollar Store to assist. Have your child practice for 5 minutes everyday. Here's a quick video to introduce you to 3rd grade multiplication.

Reading:
In reading students will learn how to identify main idea in informational text. Students will identify the main idea by thinking about what is the text mostly about.
Grammar:
Our focus this week is plural nouns.
Writing:
Students will begin take their post-assessment for the narrative writing unit this week. We will begin informational writing for our next writing unit.
Science:
Students will be preparing for their unit test next Tuesday, choosing activities from their Heat Choice Board, and building a solar oven.
